Hands down, the best latte in Minneapolis! I've been a regular at this incredible coffee shop for months now, and I can honestly say they never fail to impress. Every sip of their lattes feels like liquid gold flowing smoothly down my throat. The baristas here are artists, creating a perfect balance of rich espresso and velvety foam that leaves me craving more with every visit. The cozy ambiance and friendly staff just add to the overall experience. If you're a coffee lover like me, do yourself a favor and give their lattes a try. You won't be disappointed! Thank you, for consistently exceeding my expectations!
I have been meaning to get here since The Briar opened!! With their Facebook post that it was their one year anniversary and the Houndstooth pop up was live I decided Wednesday was finally the day!! Street parking was super easy! I got there about 4:30 & was excited to see it wasn't busy like I assumed; technically it was still early and it was a Wednesday. I started w a Dangerous Man beer then moved on to the Maple Old Fashioned. I was there during Happy Hour so it was $1 off each beverage. Ellen was my.. Mixologist and she was delightful and patient as I gabbed. One thing I loved about here & I always forget since I don't go out in NE often is... chances are pretty high people I know will also stop in!! When I said hi to one fella, his lady popped up from behind me, she had snuck in when I wasn't looking, these two coupled with another mutual friend, we all decided to move out to the patio around a fire pit! It was nice being outside on an unseasonably warm evening and the street was pretty quiet, not a lot of traffic!! My friends split the Houndstooth Marinated Olives; lemon, garlic, chili & herbs. As they are them...ooohing and ahhhing and commented about the spices they found... "rosemary!" ... "is this cinnamon?". The patio had cleared out by this point so it was nice having it all to ourselves. I like the forest green walls inside! It's a change from just white. I love the few windows around the bar and the several skinny glass doors out to the patio! Let's in so much light while also allowing you to see what's going on out there! Thanks The Briar for a great and delicious inaugural visit, it was all I hoped it to be. Looking forward to future visits, cheers!
This is my new favorite spot in NE!! The atmosphere is so peaceful yet vibrant…lots of good spots to plug in a laptop, and just overall clean and great environment! I love the big windows and that they have food options vs. just pastries (like most coffee shops). I’ve been here like 5 times in the last 6 weeks!
How did it take me all winter to come here?! This is the best new coffee shop in NE nestled in a nice neighborhood.
I LOVED the outdoor seating area. And the free wifi worked out there too! Lots of seating inside as well.
So many drink and food options and an entire NA cocktail menu that includes THC drinks. Highly recommend the Crescent City Ransom drink- chicory cold brew, coriander, maple, and oat milk. They also have soy milk for an alt milk option. Can’t wait to come back for the sandwiches, soups, cheese board, chips & dip. They also had baked goods.
Super friendly staff. Highly recommend checking this place out. Can’t wait to go back.
It’s a fun quiet neighborhood spot, stopped for a drink and a snack/appetizer. The Houndstooth is the food side in the evenings, a limited menu for now - it all looked good. We had the pickled veggies - very nice. Drinks were good, Service was quick and positive. Would go there again - perhaps in the morning to try the coffee and breakfast.
Cool little spot with friendly service. Personally my coffee was a bit too cold for my liking and the space was a bit too busy as well but I was an overall good experience. It gets busy quick so go early for decent spot.
Delicious coffee and pastries! It was perfection. The space is cute and they have a nice patio for outdoor seating. Service was a little slow- with only 1 barista working the early morning shift but I was okay waiting a bit.
I'm so glad we heard about this place! Its tucked away in northeast in a residential area. The interior feels like a European bistro with small tables and some large booths on one side. There's also a pretty big patio with more tables, and the wifi worked outside. It was a little loud at times with traffic right outside but it's a great place to sit for a while.
The chai was delicious and made in house! The breakfast sandwich was incredible and we will definitely be coming back just for that. The barista was nice and helped explaining the menu and items.
